Cost Summary

Compliance with the EPA Administrative Order is very expensive for the Oak Ridge rate payers.  In the spirit of transparency and to provide the rate payers with cost information, two cost summaries will be periodically updated on this website.

Quarterly Sewer Costs provides a summary of the costs associated with all activities related to compliance with the EPA Administrative Order such as pump station inspections, manhole inspections and smoke testing, sewer line cleaning and CCTV, project management, asset management, engineering services and construction projects.  The funding for these activities is provided by rate revenue, debt borrowing and SRF loans.

This summary is planned to be posted on the website in July, October, January and April.

$23,090,800 provides a summary of the costs associated with the Remediation Plan which includes nine sewer rehabilitation projects and one equalization basin project in compliance with the EPA Administrative Order.  The activities associated with these projects include engineering and construction.  The funding for these activities is provided by debt borrowing and SRF loans.

This summary is planned to be posted on the website as monthly pay requests from contractors and engineers are processed.  The updates could vary each month on the posting date.
